De duurzame horloges van SEIKO dragen bij aan een betere wereld

Duurzaamheid speelt een steeds grotere rol in onze samenleving. Ook de horlogewereld blijft in dat opzicht niet achter. Zo bracht het Japanse horlogemerk SEIKO kort geleden drie innovatieve en duurzame horloges op de markt. Door speciale technologieën toe te passen horloges wil SEIKO het milieu zo min mogelijk belasten.

Duurzame concepten

SEIKO is mede dankzij haar duurzame concepten een vooruitstrevend bedrijf. Het bedrijf wil haar steentje bijdragen aan een betere wereld door te produceren vanuit het zogeheten ‘Seiko Clean Energy Concept’. Zo bracht het drie verschillende horloges op de markt waarin duurzaamheid centraal staat. Deze horloges zijn overigens ook in Nederland verkrijgbaar. De drie duurzame horloges betreffen Quartz, Kinetic en Solar. De Quartz horloges beschikken bijvoorbeeld over horlogebatterijen waarin geen kwik is verwerkt. Uiteindelijk wil SEIKO ervoor zorgen dat de batterijen zo min mogelijk vervangen hoeven te worden. Op die manier wordt het milieu namelijk zo min mogelijk belast.

Kleine oplaadbare batterijen

SEIKO wil de gebruiker het liefst zelf elektrische energie te laten genereren. Door je pols te bewegen creëert het horloge elektrische energie. Vervolgens komt deze energie terecht in een oplaadbare batterij. De oplaadbare batterijen zijn zeer klein, maar hebben desondanks enorm veel opslagcapacititeit. SEIKO wil met hulp van specialisten de horloges nog duurzamer maken dan ze al zijn. Het bedrijf lijkt in dat opzicht zeker resultaat te boeken. Zo gaat in een batterij in een Kenetic horloge inmiddels meer dan 10 jaar mee. De duurzame horloges zijn erg spaarzaam, en hebben weinig onhoud nodig.

Geen belasting voor het milieu

SEIKO is een bijzonder populair horlogemerk. Het Japanse bedrijf levert al jaren kwaliteit. Nu is daar ook het duurzame aspect bijgekomen. Zo profiteren steeds meer gebruikers van deSolar horloges van het merk. Deze uurwerken zijn erg bijzonder omdat ze licht omzetten in energie. Energieverslindende onderdelen zoals batterijen zijn daardoor verleden tijd. Het grote voordeel van deze duurzame horloges is dat ze het milieu niet belasten. Maar ook het feit dat de reserves van de Solar meer dan een halfjaar meegaan is een groot voordeel voor de consument. Horloge liefhebbers zijn bij SEIKO dan ook op de goede plek.
